This Pub is Closed Long Term

Modern, plush redecoration of the former Berkshire House pub, a Morrell's ale house which was filled with all the usual ale-house bric-a-brac. Acquired by Greene King it became the Crooked Pot, then for a short while just the Berkshire and then Home, run by Home Pubs Ltd who have designed several venues in Oxford (Chester, Jolly Postboys) and decided to run their own. Tried to make it as a gastropub but closed again February 2020. Relaunched 2021 as Hubble & Home, closed again and Dec 2021 opened as a 'Pub and Tapas Cafe'. Then closed again. Now (July 2024) open as a pub and restaurant. Closed again end of 2024. Changed hand 27/05 2025 bought by an investment company. Still closed April 2026 and no planning application.
