There has been a pub on this site since 1870. Refurbished in Nov 2015 it now has a clean modern feel with 5 hand pumps and a changing Greene King menu. Enveloped by the one-way traffic system, it boasts a single wood-panelled lounge bar, with seating outside in the summer. Popular as a lunch stop with Broadmead shoppers as well as local office workers. There is a quiz at 8.30 on Mondays.
