Cornwall's second micropub, this small bar opened in June 2017 in a former fancy dress shop in the centre of town. All the beers and ciders are sourced from within Cornwall and Scilly by the owner/proprietor without recourse to the wholesale trade. The philosophy is that the beers in place on opening on Thursday should all be consumed by the Sunday ('Drink the Barrel Dry' afternoon), ready for restocking for the following week; Sunday closing time may be adjusted to suit! Cornish organic gins and Cornish wines are also available. An extension ('The Firkin') opened 2024.
