The name derives from the coat of arms of Henry V but this pub is not that old! The attractive, unspoilt pub was built in 1827 for the servants of the local gentry, with etched glass windows, a fine island bar and separate wood panelled rooms upstairs and downstairs, three of which may be booked for functions. There are old rugby and football photographs and one wall dedicated to the pub’s cricket team The Antelopians, but the television is usually silent. The Antelope receives consistently good reviews for its service, beer quality, and food; well worth a visit.
Handy for the Royal Court Theatre.
