This ivy-clad inn dating from 1753 on the banks of the River Wye is handy for the spectacular walk along the Monsal trail. It is a multi-room pub including a cosy lounge with real fire and a comfortable dining area. Walking boots and dogs are welcome in the hikers' bar. Good, traditional pub food is served daily and the guest beers are mostly LocAle, and include beers from Peak Ales, Eyam, Abbeydale, and Bradfield. The accommodation is a self-catering apartment.
