Phipps NBC returned to its roots in 2014, 40 years after Phipps' Bridge Street brewery closed. This brewery tap is situated at the front of the 1884 Ratliffe & Jeffrey's Albion Brewery, a wonderfully restored building where almost all the bar's fittings are reclaimed from old closed Phipps pubs. An oak and glass partition between bar and brewhouse allows the brewing process to be viewed. Eight handpumps serve ales from the brewery, with rotating guests.
