Welcoming friendly locals' pub, located in a quiet street to the west of the centre of this historic market town. Fully refurbished, inside and out, in August 2019, with new outside courtyard. There is a lounge with TV (where they like their rugby) and a bar with darts, pool, jukebox and another TV. A function room is available. Beer festival held over the second weekend in June each year. Outside is a heated and covered smoking area with seating. Dogs are welcome. The pub is owned by Wells & Co of Bedford, and beers are supplied from the company's new 'Brewpoint' Brewery.
