Well appointed 1747 former farmhouse with superb rear walled garden, restaurant, large conservatory & accommodation. The country inn has won several major awards since its entry in the 2011 Good Beer Guide including winner of "Pub of the Year 2010" and "Green Pub 2010". The 4 handpulls provide for an excellent choice of Local ales. Ingredients for the excellent food menu are sourced locally from a 25 mile radius. A range of organic soft drinks are also available. With excellent accommodation which includes ground floor rooms with disabled access & an excellent wine list, this family friendly & walkers pub near to Hadrians Wall offers something for everyone. Future developments include a walking book based on the pub. Handy for PlusBus via Hexham Rail Station.
