Sign at front door says "families, muddy boots, dogs - all welcome." Pleasant pub nestling in the corner of Market Square. Popular with ramblers and locals. The nearby Allen Banks and superb countryside attract large numbers of ramblers. Refurbished beer garden. Handy for PlusBus via Hexham rail station. Food from Pit 94 kitchen also available to takeaway.
