Set back in the middle of Gosforth High Street, this is a large pub with an emphasis on food. The original name is thought to come from the Brandlings, a family of merchants and land-owners. Tastefully refurbished, there are distinctive areas for dining whilst still remaining drinker-friendly. Quiz nights take place on Wednesday. Reopened 19 May 2022 after substantial refurbishment. Most seating is now free-standing in an airy atmosphere. Varying food is offered through the day.
