This friendly and welcoming bar, which opened in 1966, is in a largely residential area has a spacious open-plan lounge featuring an L-shaped bar Two handpulls , only one in use ( Dec 24). Meals every day with a Sunday carvery and Wednesday Carvery between 12-2 & 4-7. There is a large specials blackboard over the fireplace

Popular on Sunderland AFC match days, a shuttle bus is laid on to take fans to the Stadium of Light. Large-screen TVs have their volume muted to be unobtrusive. Quiz nights are Tuesday and Wednesday. Home to an active golf society.
