Friendly comfortable pub on main street of Ryhope. There are 3 handpulls with changing cask ales.. Most of the seating is to the right and round the back of the bar. There is a pool table to the left as you walk in .There are three sports TV screens and outside at the back is a small enclosed garden patio area. Darts features on Mondays, with free pool Tuesday Evening. Wednesday has bingo at 8, with a quiz at 8 on Thursdays. On Friday is free pool and juke box. Live music features on Saturday, with dominoes and karaoke on Sunday.

Parking outside can be difficult but there are plenty of buses to and from Sunderland.
