This bar is tucked well away from the main road down a narrow track and overlooks the very attractive Henfold Lakes, and is set amid 95 acres of woodland. Tables are available both in the large garden and on the attached decking to watch the activities. This includes many ducks and geese making use of the water. Lakeside View opened in the summer of 2018, replacing the Henfold Lakes bar which had been destroyed by fire in June 2015. The new wood fronted building has high ceilings with a restaurant area at one end. The other side has some comfortable seats by a wood burning stove (which has an enormous chimney). From the bar is a decked area which affords excellent views across the lake. Good quality food is served each day. From Monday to Saturday this comprises breakfast from 9-11, lunch from 12-3 and dinner from 5-9. On Sunday a roast is available from 12-9. Families are welcome and the building can be used for weddings and parties. Two handpumps reside on the bar but unfortunately they are not in operation.
