Under New Ownership since September 2025. The Brown Bear is a Grade II listed pub steeped in centuries of tradition. Believed to date back to the 13th century, the pub offers a warm, traditional atmosphere with exposed beams that echo centuries of character, and a timeless sense of community. The kitchen serves fresh, homemade dishes throughout the week. Sundays are about tradition, with roasts, crafted with seasonal ingredients and traditional flair. A wide selection of beverages including rotating cask ales, world beers and fine wines are available.
