Please note that Wainwright 'Fresh Ale (brewery conditioned - NOT cask conditioned) beer is served through a conventional handpump; it was not visibly marked up as such.

This historic market town inn, situated close to Dalton Castle, offers a warm welcome for visitors and locals alike; this is a cosy and comfortable place to relax. There are two distinct seating areas, plus a separate pool room and a lounge which can be closed off if required. Private funeral buffets catered for mid-week.

Four steps to main door from street. Access via dray delivery doors (cobbles; also from main street) can be arranged. There is level access at the rear of the pub along a lane from public street parking. No dedicated acceeesible wc but the ladies' can be used (one low step).
