Situated near the city's Crown Courts, this pub offers up to six cask ales at any one time, with a CAMRA discount available (although not on Timothy Taylor). A wide selection of home-cooked food is served until 10.15pm daily and breakfasts are also served from 7am-11am. The pub is popular with students and prison staff, but offers an equally warm welcome to all visitors to the area.

Reopened August 2026 after long closure and major refurbishment, description not yet updated.
