A large, open plan country pub re-opened on 18th December 2024 by Marjoram Trading Ltd following an extensive refurbishment. Pub has a large garden and serves food and real ale, with a number of regular events planned including quiz nights and live music.

Breakfast is served 9.00am to 11.30am (Mon-Fri) and 9.00am to 11.00am (Sat & Sun).

There are 5 changing beers on from local breweries, mainly Brentwood (Elephant School) and Chelmsford Brew Co's. Three are dispensed from handpump, the other two from polypins supplied by the breweries. There are plans to bring back a summer beer festival, possibly in August 2025, but this is to be confirmed.
