A conversion of a large and imposing, street corner former Edwardian detached home, built circa 1890, has resulted in a large Wine, Cocktail and Lounge bar in what has become a very popular area of the city for its café and bar culture. It has one large room on the ground floor, which is split into comfortable alcove lounge areas all with padded chairs and settees, decorated in a relaxing dark Art Deco scheme with a bold wallpaper motif. There is a separate function suite with its own bar upstairs and a large south facing terrace outside.

There is step free access into the bar by prior arrangement. This is through a pair of metal gates at the back of the property (on Uplands Terrace) and down a ramp and in through the rear door. It is step free throughout the ground floor, but there is a flight of stairs to the function room upstairs. A separate step free route runs from the Uplands Terrace pavement to the front patio, but there are three steps at the front door. There is an accessible toilet, alongside the Gents & Ladies, on the ground floor (Key at Bar).
