A traditional locals pub, located on the edge of the cities shopping area and near to the theatre. It has a large single room, split into three distinct seating areas around a C-shaped bar. A pool table is located at the rear and there is also a small balcony seating area upstairs under a raised vaulted beamed ceiling, where there is also a darts board.

Karaoke nights are held regularly on weekends.

At the time of last visit (1st April 2026) the pub had just been taken over by new landlords on that day. And no Cask Ale was available on the two handpumps, but the new landlord was going to look at the situation!
