A single storey cottage style building, close to the castle and church. Holds the Cask Marque Award for serving great quality real ale.

Well presented traditional pub food served all day.

Outside seating to front and in the courtyard to rear.

Historic Interest

Originally only licensed as a beerhouse, the Castle got a full licence on February 1st 1957. Note: Some census entries refer to Castle Brewery, as indicated. Castle brewery closed 1903 Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found here
