Dating from the sixteenth century, this on-time coaching inn has recently been refurbished and reopened. The main area consists of a comfortable bar, open to a large dining room. The decor is a mix of bare stone and white walls offsetting darker timbers above. To the rear is the small 'map room' adorned with old maps, and at a lower level a large Tudor timbered bar.
