Traditional family owned free house is located in the heart of Shackerstone village near the Ashby Canal and the preserved Battlefield Railway.

The pub, popular with locals and visitors alike, is renowned for the quality and variety of its ales and serves good pub food - the ideal hub for visiting this rural part of Leicestershire.

In 2017 the landlord was presented with an award by the local CAMRA branch to mark 30 years service.

The wood panelled bar serves 3 traditional ales and 1 cider
