Cafe, hotel and bar in an imposing and splendid former 19th century coaching inn. Each of the three rooms has a log-burner.

All-day breakfasts are served followed by lunches and special roasts on Sundays. Vegetarian options are included in the menu. Cakes and pastries are available and baked on the premises.

Other facilities include the 1850 Restaurant and the outdoor Hunting Shack (Weds to Sun 9am to 4pm). Online reservation is recommended. There are seven letting rooms available.

Historic Interest

Est 1850. Previously the Talbot Inn, the full name is now the Old Hunting Lodge at the Talbot Inn. It reopened as a cafe, bar and hotel in October 2024 after the former pub and hotel had been closed since 2020.
