A lively and friendly traditional town pub, just a short walk from the High St, with a small canal-side garden at the back.
Originating from the seventeenth century, it was formerly a brewhouse until the 1950s and there's a full history of the former licensees and the pub on the wall just inside the main door.
The single room has a lively community atmosphere suited to beer and banter, and the TV shows major sporting events. Bingo is played on Monday evenings. Pork pies are available during the week.
Cask beer is on offer on Tuesdays.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
