Old inn dating from 1411 with a spacious lounge bar featuring modern leather sofas and tables, a cosy back room with a log burning fire, and a restaurant. Two changing local cask ales are on the bar.

There is a pool and darts room, and the restaurant is at the front. The changing menu includes locally produced seasonal ingredients.

The pub opens throughout the week, offers accommodation, and serves food every day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) except Sunday evening. Lunch service starts at noon during the week.

Access to the car park is at the back, from Bliss Gate Road.
