Traditional inn located beside Downside village green, with a large beer garden at the front. The original building dates back to the 17th century. Internal decor reflects the pub's age, with heavy oak beams, crooked walls and a large brick fireplace, in which a log fire burns in winter. Extensive food menu includes standard pub fare and more exotic specials. Separate restaurant open whenever pub is open. Some board games available on request.
