Honest John, Todmorden

Premises reopened on 17th April 2025 after a temporary closure resulting from a kitchen fire on 11th January.

A welcoming and spacious bar and coffee tavern, with two separate rooms. The larger one has several tables ideal for their Greek-leaning food offerings - NB only table service is currently available. The décor is a combination wood-effect wallpaper and stripped-back walls exposing the stone and brick around the windows. The ornate cast iron and glass roof high above the main room is an unusual feature and is highlighted by changing coloured lights, while a wood-burner on the far wall imparts a cosy feeling. The previous use as a former bank is in much evidence with hefty safe doors one of which contains the cellar. At the front of the building is a more comfortable, carpeted cosy room with easy chairs and local art work displayed on the walls. A large outside seating area has been developed adjacent to the premises.

Doors close 1 hour before closing time on Friday and Saturday.

Real ale was discontinued in July 2022 due to poor sales. They had previously offered Bradfield Farmers Blond and Eagles Crag The Eagle's Feather.
