Picture postcard pub at the foot of Shanklin Chine. Single bar in former fisherman's cottage of great character with flagstone floors and exposed beamed ceiling. Patio onto the beach. May be recognised as the 'Whip and Kettle' in the TV show, 'Reach for the Moon'. As this pub is on the beach it may close earlier in rough weather.

May have reduced hours or even close during off-season; check ahead.

Historic Interest

Built circa 1817, much altered and extended in 20th century. Grade II Listed. Historic England list entry 1365376
