The ''Steamer'', previously the Lincoln Hotel is one of a small chain that includes the ''Spyglass'' Ventnor, ''Bargeman's'' Newport and ''Dairyman's Daughter'' Arreton. Has a high reputation for its hospitality, real ale and food, it is a popular venue for locals and visitors. An ever changing and interesting range of beers with the occasional beer festival running in conjunction with the other pubs in the group. Frequent live music to entertain from some of the Islands most popular groups. Breakfast served from 10am to 11am Food finishes 8.30 winter when the pub may close earlier.

Walking route to railway station may be reduced to 1100m by using the Cliff Lift (seasonal & charges apply) or Osborne Steps when open. Osborne Steps have been undergoing long term restoration since 2023 due to land movements.
