A superb example of a well run independent town pub selling a range of three changing cask beers often featuring beers from Castle Rock and Timothy Taylor. Popular with drinkers and sports fans alike it has five screens around the bar showing different sporting events at a volume conducive to normal conversation. Allow time to find the hidden entrance to the toilets and watch out for the spider. Only pub with its own telephone exchange!
