An 18th cent. roadside inn, with parts dating back to the 16h century. Re-opened 1st March 2017. Formerly the Bucks Head, this reopened on 1 March 2017 as a 'veggie pub'. It has been freshened up inside but is still very much traditional pub ambience with real ales, and having a drink at the bar without eating is no problem. The vegetarian (& vegan) menu was transferred and adapted from the owners' previous place The Red Lion ('Veggie Red Lion') at Great Bricett near Wattisham (about 6m south of Stowmarket).
