On the former A6 on the edge of the village, this long-established roadhouse, originally the Red Lion, was refurbished by Mitchells & Butlers in 2016 and reopened as part of their 'Miller & Carter' steak restaurant chain. The front rooms comprise a large restaurant area, whilst rear-left is a bar-lounge area where food is not sold. Around the entrance on the left-hand side is an extensive patio-garden area.
