New Licensees took over in September 2025.

Tastefully refurbished stone built pub in an elevated position consisting of two rooms plus the main bar area. Multi-roomed pubs are increasingly rare so this pub is worth checking out.

Pizzas are are available from the outdoor kitchen next to the beer garden.. Outdoor drinking areas front and side. Darts and dominoes are played. Families are welcome but are directed to the two front rooms. The room at the front left as for enter is set for dining.

The car park is very small and roadside parking can be a little tight unless you park a short distance down the hill. Macclesfield-Stockport bus 391 passes the pub Mon-Sat daytime.
