A major Refurbishment in 2019 saw the bar relocated from the side of the pub to almost facing the front door. The Black Boy inn sign has now gone.

Deceptively large, comfortable, quiet, open-plan pub, dating from the 14th century.

Open in the morning for breakfast every day. Most tables are for dining.

Bar snacks can be had, but not cheaply. Function room.

There is a walks leaflet available with three local walks.

Historic Interest

This Grade II-listed building gained its second name in 1719 when an incorrect sign was erected! The Black Boy was the adjoining restaurant.
