Friendly and welcoming pub set in row of terraced housing and one of the smallest pubs in the town. Traditional, unpretentious "Back Street Boozer" serving good quality Robinsons Unicorn beer from one hand pump. On entering the pub the entrance to the public bar is on the left. The door ahead leads to the main pub divided into 2 rooms. Room to left has dart board and wall seating. The main bar has a pool table and juke box and a door leading to a small outside courtyard for smokers. The public bar has a TV and juke box. Active pub games of bar skittles, darts crib and others. Children are not welcome. Mr G. Wood had been the licensee for over 26 years (as of Feb 2009).
