A friendly two-bar pub with a lively bar of locals and a quieter lounge, where meals are served. There is food available from 1000-2000. Real Ale outsells lager here and the Beer Festival in September may well become a regular feature. Customers may use the Town Hall car park next to the pub. The Gloucester to Chepstow bus or train service make a pleasant change to the car. The Dean Forest Steam Railway starts from Lydney.
