Tucked away from the busy Merchant City streets, this unique pub-restaurant-hotel has a well-earned reputation for good beer, wine and food. Three cask beers are sold, usually from Scottish breweries. The downstairs bar generally has a low-key ambience except on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons when lively traditional music is played. Jazz is sometimes played on Sundays. There is a restaurant and bar upstairs which can be hired for private functions. The pub has a fair-sized beer garden for the odd sunny day.
