Welcoming and cosy pub in the centre of the village, near the old railway station in the River Otter valley. It is primarily a food pub, and is run by an Anglo/French couple, and has an emphasis on French rural and Mediterranean food. The three regular beers on offer our well kept. It is popular with walkers and cyclists. The 382 Sidmouth to Ottery St Mary bus stops outside, and continues to the rail stations at Feniton and Whimple. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30, for coffee and cake.
