This stylish two-roomed pub is a 1930's construction as evidenced by attractive exterior tiling and leaded windows. There is a comfortable, music-free wood-panelled lounge and a stone-floored bar with dartboard and jukebox. A mix of locals, students and thirsty sports people from the nearby playing fields are drawn here by the friendly, relaxed atmosphere.. Football matches are shown on satellite TV There is a quiz on Wednesdays and a small yard to the side doubles as a smoking area.
