The Red Lion originally stood opposite the Potteries Electric Traction Tramway Depot in Stoke-on-Trent. It was demolished in the early 1970’s but the facade was carefully taken down brick by brick by members of the Tramway Society and was eventually rebuilt at Crich using original materials wherever possible and reopened in 2002 at a cost of £500,000. It’s now just one of the buildings that line the street and provide an authentic setting for the street tramway cars.

More like a cafe than a pub inside but still has some interesting features such as the fireplace and the stunning windows add atmosphere.

The bar came from the recreation bar at Nottingham prison.

They offer a pale ale and a bitter, both Locale, at all times. Most weekends, will also offer a dark mild. Many more beers are offered at special events. All beers are served on gravity, the dummy handpumps are just to indicate that we have real ale. Snacks (pork pies, filled rolls) available at all times.

11 to 5 is the normal opening hours, but they open later at special events.
