This community-focused pub has events most evenings, with guitar lessons (all levels) on Mondays, ‘Open Mic’ nights on Tuesdays and Karaoke on Saturdays, with Bingo taking place monthly (see Facebook for more details). Two or three cask beers are usually available based on their trade pattern, almost always from local breweries. Nice enclosed beer garden to rear, with the pubs ducks and chickens available to see. Dog and child friendly except Saturday evening as their popular karaoke night can be very busy.

Big supporter of armed forces charities. Current licensees have run the pub since 2007 and have maintained regular customers throughout that time. Ample parking. Winner of branch Pub of the Season Spring 2017.
