The Hilcote Arms reopened on 24th March 2017, after being closed since 2014. Very extensive refurbishment saw the introduction of a log burner and new interiors throughout, with four hand pulls on the bar, one or two of which are usually in use with local ales featured. Dog friendly. Child friendly until 8pm. Public transport is frequent from the stop one mile walk away. Food served has excellent reviews on Trip Advisor (search 'Hilcote Arms') - particularly the traditional Sunday lunches, and if booking for those they'll sometimes serve up to about 6pm.
