This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

Very large and busy, historic social club, set on the main road through the town. There are facilities on several levels. The main bar is on the ground floor, which consists of one large room, served by a long bar, with large screens at either end of the room showing a variety of sport. There is also a separate lounge downstairs and another room available upstairs. The club is open to members of the public.

There was a single cask handpump on the main bar, but on enquiring, the staff said that it is normally only used in Winter, as it does not sell in the Summer!
