Standing right on Trent Bridge this pub was originally known as the Town Arms, but went through a number of name changes until adopted its current name. Part of the Brewhouse chain, this airy pub offers a range of food, a chic bar and a large all-weather terrace. The refurbished pub reopened in June 2017 and comprises of a number of areas, including a 'restaurant'. The large outside area offers fine views of the Trent and comes with its own outside bar. The cask beers are brewed on site.

Historic Interest

The Riverbank Bar & Kitchen was built as the Town Arms in 1869-71 and has an entry on the Nottingham Local Heritage List as Heritage Asset HA454. (and formerly on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013) which notes that the architect was M O Tarbotton and that the building was re-modelled in 2010. In 1874, the Town Arms was a fully licensed establishment under victualler Mrs M A Hart (Wright). In 1984 the Town Arms was re-named Bridges, a name which lasted less than a year before becoming the Aviary and then re-named again as Casa before becoming the Riverbank (Whitworth 2010).
