Modern town centre ale bar close to the High Street and both train and bus stations. It offers three cask ales, one of which is a house beer, Trout Ale and one changing cider. House beers also include Trout Smooth and Trout Lager on keg. The pub offers a loyalty card scheme. Open mic nights are held every other Thursday night with karaoke on first Saturday of the month. Quiz night is held every Monday night. Occasional beer festivals have been held.
