Up to 2016 when it closed, this was a basic wet-led boozer with a long interior and games section. It once sold copious amounts of Draught Bass (as evidenced by exterior signage) but over the years the availability of cask ales diminished until discontinued.

Since then the Grade II building has been beautifully restored and is now operating as a combined Microbar and Bike Repair shop. Outwardly it doesn't appear to be different with the same Griffin name and the prominent Bass plaques on either side of the front window. Inside it is very cluttered with bicycle items with the bar at the far end. No draft beer though, bottled beers only.

The food situation is unclear; 'last orders for food 7.30pm' indicates that there is some offering.

Early 19th century house, probably a public house from the beginning, Grade II Listed. Historic Wales / Cadw reference 85011.
