This Pub is Closed Long Term

Canalside pub that was once owned by Courage Brewery. It is known as the "Bottom Bridge" (the "Top Bridge" being further up the canal tow path in Pontnewydd) and carries that name on the car park side of the premises. Once a traditional two-roomer, with public bar and lounge, it was opened out a few years ago. It has a front outdoor drinking section that is popular in fine weather. Disco/karaoke Thursday evening.

It has been on the market for years and may be demolished to make way for a housing development (March 2022).
