Originally Jericho House. Rebuilt early 19th century with the Jericho Brewery next door. Sold in 1871 to Morrell's who closed the brewery. A famous Oxford music venue - many big-name bands (Radiohead, Supergrass started here) have played (and still do play) in the upstairs room. The bar downstairs is decorated in dark hues. There is a large garden at the rear with some covered seating. The pub is said to be haunted by the ghost of a small boy who sits on the bar! Has a better than average selection of keg beer but might only have one cask ale on in quiet part of week. Latest info (June 2026) is that member discount is no longer offered.
