Former Whitbread pub, a free house since 1991. Named after 17th century plutocrat Thomas Sutton, who founded nearby Charterhouse. Traditional after-work corner pub with side bar. The upstairs function room is rarely used. The food offering now consists of a varied selection of pies served from a warm bar top display unit.

The pub is accessible by wheelchair via the entrance in Great Sutton Street but although both male and female toilets are at ground level, they are unlikely to be able to accommodate regular sized wheelchairs and are not fitted with the requisite arm rests to qualify for disabled access accreditation.
