This low-beamed, popular, village pub on the edge of sprawling Tilehurst close to good walking in open fields to Sulham Woods via the dovecote tower at Nunhide Manor. Originally an end of terrace cottage; a large, open, conservatory and a gazebo have been added at the rear. A wood-burning stove has been installed in a recently-uncovered bricked-in fireplace during recent renovations.
